Most ofthe biggest whiners about "obama care," deficits, and over spending are sucking up farm subsidies,Medicare, tax subsidized pensions, tax subsidized health care, and tax subsidized housing. What
the vast majority of "conservatives" want is to tighten their neighbors belt so that their particular piece of pork is not jeopardized.mouthpiecenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27951078.post-44085879181889464562011-04-19T10:35:03.745-06:002011-04-19T10:35:03.745-06:00John,

When you were the yeoman farmer and observing media, farmers, and politics from a little more distance, it was your nature to push back against the prevailing milieu of paternal gov't and pseudo-progressivism. Hence JP the libertarian. Now that you are more in the thick of things, and especially interacting with lots of folks whose knee-jerk conservatism is not intellectually consistent or comprehensive, you are now pushing back against this line of thought. I think these people are the target of the needle inherent in many of your posts.
I could be wrong.
But that will be 5 cents please.

Brian in OHBriannoreply@blogger.com
