I have to disagree with the feller who wrote this. Like much of America I attended the same school my parents did. I even got a few of my uncle's textbooks.
When "teachers" became "educators" this was the decline of the learning system. Yes, the bigger consolidated systems offer more to coax educators into working there. But I believe the quality of learning suffers. But, what they did not mention about the hiring of just one Algebra teacher is they might have 50+ kids in a class.
With the class loads and workbooks that kids come home with it is no wonder most are home schooling. After all the parents usually have to help them.
But mostly I blame MTV. We need some GOOD "TEECHURZ" to instill values and education into kids,( nothing wrong with the 3-R's) not just process them to become urban robots.Ol Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08104714377087960892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27951078.post-43656445717170412522008-04-27T08:17:00.000-06:002008-04-27T08:17:00.000-06:00Our daughter and son both want to come back and th...Our daughter and son both want to come back and their teachers, college and high school) abuse them long and often about it.
