It seems humans - or at least college students - can follow a scent trail.
By studying blindfolded college students who crawled through grass to sniff out a chocolate-scented trail, scientists found evidence of a human smelling ability that experts thought was impossible. In fact, there are a lot of smell myths. But my favorite "olfact" is this one:
