Topic of the meeting...

Here at the Pioneer Outlook meeting 63% (my rough guess) of the conversation is fertilizer. We're heading for an economic brawl, I think.  And I don't think acres are close to being established until the winner of that battle emerges.

Where the brawl gets really interesting is where there are fert dealers w/ no inventory with those that bought near the peak. Local dealer (who we deal with) was $350/ton on NH3 lower than local co-op, $280 lower on DAP. Mucho wailing by coop, but how is that different than the devaluation taken on grain inventory?
