Sorting through the information flood for usable knowledge for our farm
Canada has a wonderful health care system ,we can see a doctor or visit a hospital at any time with out cost.At times there may be a delay or wait for tests-operations but those are seldom and happens with everything in life. About 1/2 of a persons health care costs are incurred in your last 6 months of life. My father, lifetime farmer had perfect health too 78 yr. old and then had a couple of different bouts of cancer--both times surgery was immediate and hospital stay, tests, ect. were all covered by gov't health ins.... not sure at all why US is so opposed too health services for everyone,,no one should have too stay away from doctor or hospital because they can't afford too pay ...John I do have concerns like yours on "keeping the farm" and still insuring that both generations have security..then again 1 car accident or divorce can change everything also...when you have the answer let us know-OK...hope your crops and family are well--regards-kevin
Hey Kevin, my sister in Scotland has high praise as well. Do you think it has something to do with the government that runs it?? Finance is the biggest roadblock along with quality of services rendered. Ya know that the U.S. will have so much redundancy, along with administration that it may not be possible. Much less feasible Whadda ya think??.
Ol James --- not sure what makes it work BUT I like not having to think my coverage will be canceled or I cannot afford a doctor visit this month and like food ,,is a necessity,,hey lots of money spent on other maybe less honorable causes ,auto industry, banking ,some military ventures ect...kevin
