Once upon a time, I thought that I had to get my money in my hot little hand, to make it real. I would not let my paycheck be direct deposited into the bank. I needed control of my money. One day I figured out that our money is about as real as monopoly money. As long as we believe it is real, it is. So it does not matter whether or not we actually hold it in our hand at all. I can see that if money were backed by gold it would be worth the same today that it was when I first started farming, in the'60's. No I do not have any gold stashed away somewhere.
