A gov't shut down in 2010, hmmm that would mean no Congressional paychecks either. While the Senate has the wealth to skip a paycheck or two, their staff probably does not and a lot of the rabble in the House can barely make rent each month, I suspect. I think they would soon realize what their actions meant on a very personal level especially with moving expenses on top of everything else.
